{Our Christmas 12.25.10}

I always anticipate the season of Christmas. I love sharing it with my husband and our two families. I am trying to focus more and more on what the season is really about. And the fact that it's not just a day, it is a season. There are many things I don't like about what this season has turned into and what the world has made it to be, but I try to just stay focused on what I know it's about and to not let the world's view of Christmas distract from that.

I have been trying to take more and more pictures of my life and not just work. It's more difficult then I thought! So here are some snapshots of our time around the holidays. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and was really able to relax and enjoy this time of year. See you in 2011!

{personal: thanksgiving 2010!}

Let me start by saying I love Thanksgiving. This year was a little more laid back than previous years since we were missing some family members because the teeny tiny triplets are still teeny tiny. But it was fun nonetheless. I love good food, sitting around with family just catching up, then eating desert, and then talking and reminiscing. We spent the actual day at Michael's grandparent's house. During desert we watched their old Super 8 films from when they lived in California. She had them transferred to DVD. I recommend everyone do this! That way they last forever and you can actually watch them and pass them down.

Michael's family fries a turkey and has a great big ole ham.

{children: Lilly wilmington, nc children's photographer}

Over Thanksgiving (and a Thanksgiving post is coming soon), Michael's grandma bought his second cousin, Lilly, the cutest little outfit. We made her model it for us before everyone went home and boy is she adorable! She loved all the attention and not scared of the camera at all. The outfit even had little ruffles on her butt! Too cute! Don't let the time go by without capturing the growth of your child! Contact me today to find out about birthday and family sessions.
