{kids: logan, wilmington, nc children's photographer}

Logan's parents wanted pictures of him before he got any bigger and I was so excited to have another children's shoot. They're sessions are never the same and they certainly don't like posing which I'm not a fan of either so it works out perfectly! I wanted to take him to a place that would be interesting to him, make for some cool shots, and have different atmospheres in one place. So we decided on the aquarium. I love the aquarium so this wasn't a hard decision for me. Logan is only 2 but looks like such a little man already. Everything was intriguing to him so we spent some time running from exhibit to exhibit. But I like the outcome and with a two year old you never know what you're going to end up with. Logan, you are adorable and I can't wait to take more pictures as you grow older!

{baby: the triplets are here!}

Katie, Michael's cousin-in-law, found out at the beginning of this year that she was going to have triplets! We couldn't believe it. No multiples ran in the family and they got pregnant naturally. They already have a little girl and they were about to have 3 more! Well, they came early as expected a few weeks ago and will be in the NICU to finish out their term. Michael and I went to see them this past weekend and they're so cute! They each have their own room and a white board telling their likes and dislikes, i loved that.

The new women and children's center at the hospital is so nice. It's so calming and has wonderful photography everywhere! And if you've never been in this section of the hospital, I suggest you go just for the gift shop :)

To order prints, email me your order at dana@danalaymonphotography.com. For prices & sizes click here.

We saw Bella first. She's the smallest out of the three, weighing 2.9 lbs when she was born.

Look at the glove at the top of her head. See how big it is compared to her head! SO amazing.

This was the nurse showing us around that day. She was quite a character.
IMG_2176

She was changing Sam's diaper. We were all scared to touch them. They have to roll the diapers down just so they'll fit.

Grandma was helping change her diaper. She was the only brave one.

And the nurse measured her waist.

Then she opened her eyes! I'm trying to keep from talking in a baby voice right now.

Grandma and Grandpa looking on.

My finger, look at how small she is! You don't really realize it until you have something to compare it to.

{wedding: Jason + Heather, wilmington, nc wedding photographer}

I have been waiting years to post these! No, just kidding. But we have been waiting years for a special girl like Heather to come and sweep Jason off his feet! He deserved a very special girl and Heather is just that! We were also happy to hear they were going to have a short engagement so we could celebrate. The wedding was very simple and home made (which I love) and just close friends and family. It was held at Impact Church in Wilmington, NC. It felt like a reunion for all of us since so many of our friends have moved away. They put all the money into the honeymoon- Jamaica! Which, who can blame them? This is your time to relax. We're sooooo happy for you guys!
