{personal: week 3, day of firsts}
My little ones have gotten so big! But I like this age- they're cuddly, fluffy, and comfortable with walking but not climbing out of the box yet, unless Lucy teases them. The barking I could do without but it's the cutest little non-intimidating bark, so you can't really get mad at that. The pups are officially up for grabs now so this is where it gets hard, thinking about letting them go.
But today was a day of firsts for the pups! We went outside all together to play in the grass and they had their first real dog food! It was quite a day. The picture of all of them in the basket took more effort than you know. They were excited about the trip outside and didn't really want to stay in one place. They have also gotten teeth this week and Lucy doesn't appreciate it very much. After their nap, we tried out some soggy dog food and it was a real hit. So much so that they would eat with both front paws in the bowl. To each his own.
We have named them all which probably isn't a good idea for my psyche. We have Whitey (or Polar Bear), Lazy, Pinkey, Brother, Sister, Harry Potter, & Fatty or Darky (he's the fattest and the darkest).
Traveling to the outside...
See why we call her Pinkey?
Hey, little fluffy thing. You want to stay with me?

{bridal: Deanne: wilmington, nc}
Well I've finally lifted my head up from the puppy box long enough to write a post! You may remember Deanne from her and Brent's engagement shoot here. Well she's still as gorgeous as ever in her stunning, classic lace dress. I love the contrast of the roughness of some of our locations vs. the softness of her dress. She wore the perfect shoes to walk around down town in and walk around we did! I love her beaded headband which came all the way from India! Her style is awesome and I would just love to raid her closet one day ;) I know Deanne and Brent have an awesome marriage because they already have a wonderful foundation. You can survive anything with a good foundation. You're beautiful, girl, and I'll take your picture any day!

{personal: survived 1 week!}
If you're goal is to not get anything done during your day, then have puppies! I can honestly say no laundry has been done, no pictures have been worked on unless they include a puppy, and no food has been cooked since these little guys were born. I hear them squeal and go a runnin' as fast as I can to hold one of them and make them feel better. So we've survived one week and I can only imagine it gets harder from here. I'd be ok if they never learned how to walk because I don't have the energy to run in 7 different directions, plus I like that they can't go far and sleep huddled together.
We're trying to keep whitey in the family. The mother needs to come visit a few more times and she'll be hooked.
Awww, everyone taking a little nap. It's so hard not to disturb them but what they say about waking a sleeping baby is also true about puppies.
oh please stop growing.

{bridal: Kim}
The posts have been slow coming. Puppies seem to be taking a lot of my time lately. So finally I can do one post! I love when a bride is up for anything and Kim certainly was that bride. She put up with me pulling over on the side of the highway to going to the top of the parking deck to sneaking in to an abandoned building. But I think the results were worth it! Her mom and soon to be mother-in-law came to be apart of the session as well. Her wedding in Charleston is going to be amazing and I can't wait. I feel honored to be apart of their wedding.
