Love this. It reminds me of where Michael's family lives and where we were for Thanksgiving. It has a great feel to it and still very romantic.

Because I miss Haiti and these colors and the hanging paper flowers remind me of Haiti and the flowers we made at the ladies' tea, this is my inspiration for you today!

~WE'RE BACK FROM HAITI!~

Well our trip was wonderful! We had a great time and really connected with our sister church in Haiti. We did an eye glass clinic, finished building their water cistern, held women, children, and men's bible studies, and had a ladies' tea. A lot to do in 4 days! Below is the link to all the pictures and hopefully it will take you through everything in order. Thank you for all of your prayers- God is good (Bondye Bon) and He answered every single one of them!

~WE'RE IN HAIT!~

We finally landed in Haiti today after a full day of traveling. We boarded our plane at 6am and finally arrived at our destination city for the day, Les Cayes, at 5pm. We're only here at the mission center until tomorrow afternoon and then we'll head to the village we'll be helping tomorrow afternoon, Boyer. We didn't have any travel problems at all and the people at the Haitian airport, where we waited for our plane for 4 hours, were very receptive to what we had to say and our little skit and tracks we handed out. I'm only able to blog and post all of this because the mission center now has internet! So no more after today except possibly for the last day when we stay here on the way back. Please spread the word that everyone is better than OK and having a wonderful time. The Lord has really kept us under his wing and blessed our travel.

So I'll write as much as I can but that's all for now, until we return. Can't wait to show more pictures later! Here are some for now- of the mission center where we're staying tonight.

~WEDDING: MELISSA & BILLY~

So I posted the sneak peak way to early but i love that picture! The rest are finally here and it was so hard to pick which ones to post- I love them all! Melissa and Billy were married in October at the Sutherland in Wake Forest. Hands down most beautiful wedding! It was all so rustic and vintage, I loved it! Pictures were just effortless here. I was actually the first one to show up so I had plenty of time to get some detail shots. And I felt like I had known Melissa and Billy forever. Michael basically had because he grew up with Melissa, but she and Billy now live in San Diego. The reception was so much fun including games and all. And the flowergirl outlasted everyone on the dance floor. I've never seen a little girl dance so much! Thanks for letting me capture it- it was certainly special.




This was the groom's room- all the guys hung out in here. Amazing! You'll see Billy and Melissa posed outside of the front of this building further down.



















This little old book of Psalms was sitting on an end table in Melissa's room. It was so charming and one of a kind. I had to use it.
