I'm very excited to introduce you to my friend Monty! Monty Miller is a personal fitness trainer located in Wilmington, NC and has a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from UNCW and a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology from UNC-Chapel Hill. Ladies, this is a great program. If you need to get in shape, either in a short amount of time (for
a wedding) or just to gain a better lifestyle, Monty is a wonderful trainer. He offers a great boot camp geared towards women who want to get in shape and see results. What's great about it is Monty is offering the first 2 weeks for free to see if you like it! This is a great alternative if you don't want to pay for a full gym membership but need the motivation and want a trainer to help you lose weight. It's also fun! You get to meet new woman and bond together as you're going through the same situation.

You'll also need to click on the big, pink button to activate your free trial. Also check out all the before and after pictures of his clients- they speak for themselves and they're just fun to look at. But even better than his website is the blog! There is some great information on here and it's a great way to keep up with nutrition, health, and other woman who may have the same questions as you. Check the blog out here.

~BRIDAL SESSION: BETH~

Yay I'm so excited that Beth and Zack are married! And not just because now I get to show you her bridal session! She really came out of her shell and had so much fun. She was willing to do any idea i came up with even though we were eaten alive by mosquitos in some areas! Thank you, Beth, for letting my ideas run wild at our shoot! I can't wait to finish their wedding pictures and get them up.

~FISH & LOAVES: FUNDRAISER FOR HAITI~

Last week at our church, Church on the Cape, we had a Fish and Loaves fundraiser lunch to raise money for our trip to Haiti in November. It was a huge hit! We were so excited with the turnout and all the support from our church family. Our team going to Haiti served a lunch of fried fish (thanks to Jonathan and his fishing skills!), fresh homeade bread (thanks to the ladies from church), coleslaw, chocolate chip cookies, watermelon, and PB&J for the kids. We had so much fun- Haitian music going and smiles all around. The Lord provided in such a big way this weekend. Follow along the day with us below.

So it is Thursday and I am falling behind on the job but I will not skip a post that's there to help you out! I will tell you about something that took up my time yesterday and wouldn't allow me time to write this post. I was at a Cape Fear Wedding Association Meeting and it was wonderful. If you live on the NC coast then this is THE resource spot for you! If you're looking for vendors, venues, or a wedding planner, everything is listed on their site. They also have a wonderful wedding book that comes out every 2 months with articles, ads, and advice for Brides free of charge!

~ENGAGEMENT: TYLER & BROOKE~

I was so excited when my friend Tyler called to tell me that he just proposed to his girlfriend Brooke! I'm so excited for this couple and the journey ahead of them. Tyler is focused on missions right now and preparing to go on a trip to Sweden so we squeezed in an engagement shoot before he left. I loved this session- Tyler is such a goofball that it was hard to get him to focus sometimes...you'll see what I mean. And Brooke is just the cutest girl. She adores Tyler and you can see it in the way she looks at him in these pictures.

So I just had to show off Tyler's mad skills on the swingset. I got an awesome action set of him flying through the air. Very nice, Tyler.

And because not every picture turns out perfect but still worth looking at for a laugh. I think I love the pictures with imperfections even more. Their expressions are so honest!

Very nice taste, Tyler, I must say. I almost took this thing home with me.

And a wonderful ending to a wonderful shoot. Thanks guys!

~BABY SESSION: BROOKE~

If you know of a cuter baby then you feel free to leave a comment and let me know because Brooke is just the cutest thing ever! Her mom wanted to do a Cake Smash session, which was posted earlier, and a shoot on the beach to make a collection of her baby body parts like her ear, foot, & hand. I think I like these even more than the cake smash session. My favorite picture is the one of Brooke and her baby doll sitting in the sand together. They look just alike! Her grandma got her that doll because they look so similar- I love it! She was so happy to be on the beach and running around with no clothes on. She was content just to sit in the tide pool and play by herself :)

OMG why didn't this website exist when i was getting married?! This is a WONDERFUL resource that has recently been launched by Emily Newman of Once Wed.com. It's a place to buy used (and high end) wedding dresses! I love it! Why didn't I come up with this?? What makes me sick is that the Vera Wang dress that I was drooling over, and knew i couldn't have, was on this website for half (that's HALF) the price!

Well my day has come and gone but many of you out there still have your big day coming up. Visit Emily's Gowns for Sale section to see a great selection of used desinger gowns. Many of the dress sizes may seem large to you but remember that you always wear 1-2 sizes larger in a wedding dress than your normal dress size. The site also has tons of other resources and inspriration galleries. Topics include real weddings, DIY projects, & vendor guides.
