Cute Cute Cute!! This is Michael's cousin (now my new cousin!) Chad and his wife Marie. They are expecting a little girl soon and we went to the Arboretum to get some shots. They have done so much to the Arboretum. It looked beautiful and they added all these cute kid things that went perfect with our shoot! They were both just glowing and I know they're going to be so proud once the baby gets here. Hopefully I'll have some shots for you on the delivery day- that will be awesome to shoot!

~ENGAGEMENT: DEANNE & BRENT~

Yay i love these pictures! Deanne & Brent wanted some sexy fun pictures together so we headed downtown where there's a lot of interesting spots with wonderful textures and sunsets! Deanne styles hair for a living and loves fashion so I knew they would be looking good for this shoot. We had a lot of fun but we were constantly trying to avoid the heat and mosquitos (you should have seen my legs when we were done!). I love Deanne's outfits and thought her and Brent look so good together. We talked and walked around so much we almost forgot to take pictures. We tried really hard to avoid shopping. But I had to get some pictures with their red hot Range Rover- I love this car! Honk if you ever see them around :)

~BROOKE'S CAKE SMASH~

So let me introduce you to the cutest baby ever! Brooke's mom wanted to do a "cake smash" session since Brooke's brother did one when he turned one year old! This is where you give the baby a cake and let them go for it! It's so much fun and totally unplanned which I like. I could take pictures of her all day. This is a great idea for anyone who wants an idea for their child's first birthday.

~WE'RE GOING TO HAITI!~

Michael and I have decided (well the Lord decided) to go to Haiti on a mission trip with our church, Church on the Cape. Tonight a couple going on the trip, prepared a low country boil for the team so we could fellowship and talk about and pray about the trip. We had such a good time and this was my first low country boil! I'll introduce the team later since we were all looking pretty rough tonight from being at the beach all day. Thank you to the Bartz for providing their home and time and cooking skills for tonight's meal! But i would love for you to be able to follow us on this journey and we would love to hear from you about it. We're leaving in November and I'll keep you updated and we continue to meet before the trip. Now, to the food!

This has been my favorite session so far! They were up for anything and we were able to get a lot of shooting in. Of course I didn't have to convince them to go to Britt's Donuts :) Fort Fisher is amazing at sunset so you must go if you've never been. They love each other so much and really comes out in these pictures!

~MATERNITY: ASHLEY'S SHOOT~

I had so much fun doing Ashley's shoot with her husband Matt. I work with her and just had to get some pictures before it was too late! I love their little house and garden. They're both beautiful so it wasn't hard to get a good shot. Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or a girl!
